B.50 & Silver Wraith 50.
Frame Heights.

We understand that it has been agreed that we should raise the B.50 car from the position shewn on ID.93 until it has ground clearances equal to Wraith III.

To achieve this with the proposed 16 x 7 wheels we need to raise the front and rear by 1.000.

The new yoke piece we have in hand for both the present front suspension of B.50 and for the new suspension of Silver Wraith 50 will therefore have the pivot boss lowered on it by 1.000. The rear springs will require 1.000 of positive camber. The ground clearance under the clutch casing will then equal Wraith III at approximately 8.500" under full load.

When we come to Silver Wraith and if we fit 16 x 7.500 wheels the ground clearance will be .350 greater than Wraith III using the new yoke piece and the rear springs of 1.000" positive camber. However, we shall not be forced to use these 7.500 section tyres to equal Wraith III ground clearance, which was partly our original purpose in wanting the large section tyre. The front suspension and steering would prefer us not to exceed 7" section.
