Crankshaft with Four Balance Weights and Stiffer
Rear Flange for Flywheel.
Crankcase & Bearings - Sec: 5000.
Crankshaft - Sec: 5010.

Please receive herewith blueprints of the
following drawings detailed to LeC.2874.

Sec: 5000.
E.82140/1 Crankcase End Cover which replaces E.78777/8.

Sec: 5010.
E.82136 Crankshaft which replaces E.79738.
E.82137 Crankshaft Balance Weight
E.82138 Stud (Balance Weight)
E.82139 Stud (Crankpin Oil Caps) which replaces E.79338.

Will you please instruct up the above parts to
be produced as required together with the following
standard parts:-

Sec: 5000.
Remainder of parts to complete this section are
standard to L.O.P. E.78560.

Sec: 5010.
E.70258 Oil Cap (Crankpins) 12 off which replaces E70259.
E.70266 Nut (Crankpin Oil Cap) 6 " " " E70268.
E.70267 Nut( " " ) 6 " " " E70269.
E.78996 Lock Washer (Balance Weights) - 8 off.
K.4010 Nut (Balance Weights) - 8 "
K.4853 Taper Pin (Balance Weight Studs) - 8 off.

Remainder of parts to complete this section are
standard to L.O.P. E.79739.

We have called for the Crankshaft to be produced
in Nitralloy as requested by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}

It should be noticed that a new forging will be
required for this crankshaft. When assembling Balance
Weights, the chamfered side should be nearer the
crankshaft bearings in each case to give clearance with
webs in crankcase.
