a slight alteration to these teeth at the point of entry might cure the trouble entirely. To us it would appear that the increased teazer current to overcome this jam in all cases (i.e. with teeth and helix angle as they are at present) would be of the nature of two wrongs to make a right, as it does not appear to require for the ordinary turning the increase of teazer current observed to be necessary to clear the worst jam. The helic angle tried is 55° 8'; i.e. 34° 52' on spiral. There is also a 45° helix which has not been tried with the new arrangement.
