Re: Phantom III - Steering Rollers.
Referring to your memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/R.11.12.37, and the attached report giving the result of Hdy{William Hardy}'s investigation of failures, I agree with the recommendation to produce new inner races with a .040±5 case.
The drawing F.87130 has been altered and instructions are being issued for the modified parts to be introduced immediately they are available.
We are passing the information on to Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} and asking him to arrange with Depots to scrap their existing stocks when new supplies are available.
