Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Ck.{Mr Clark} from BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X, 3456 BY11/P14.8.19. RADIATORS. X.46. X.3456. We have instructed that the faulty radiator shall be returned to the Marston Radiator Company, who will take out the faulty tubes and report to us as to the cause of the trouble. We have also asked them to return with their report the tubes taken out of the radiator, to enable us to examine same ourselves. Mr. McCormack was very insistent that if a radiator for any reason is damaged at these works, it should be returned to them for repair, as the radiator we are now returning has been patched up at these works in a very unworkmanlike manner, and would have been used, in normal circumstances by the radiator people, as a reason for shewing that the radiator had been badly dealt with. Will you kindly arrange to put two more radiators on the bumping test as soon as possible. No.1 should be a radiator delivered about the same time as the one which has proved to be faulty. No.2 should be from the batch of radiators most recently delivered. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
