x7080 To Sft.{Mr Swift} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} c. to WGR. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to RDY. Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}4/AJ.2.9.29. x7510 x7080. With reference to SFT.{Mr Swift}4/B.2.9.29. While Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} reports that the particular failure he is investigating is not due to Autovacs, the fact remains that we are repeatedly coming up against cases where the Autovac is at fault, and causes failure in the petrol system. We therefore think it is very essential that the test which we outlined should be carried out. Incidentally the test which Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} is carrying out does not represent the limit of road conditions which we can experience.
