SPECTRECodename for Phantom III IGNITION WIRING.

The ignition wiring on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III engine we now have on test requires considerable modification to avoid the H.T. cable touching hot earth metal parts. We have already had a breakdown of the two coil wires due to this cause. We suggest that the wiring scheme be overhauled in order to prevent this occurring. Where it is not possible to entirely prevent the cable from touching earth parts it would be an advantage to use cable covered with a synchronous varnished cambric covering as this type of covering resists the effects of Corona discharge to a much greater extent. On the SpectreCodename for Phantom III engine we have used this type of cable for the two leads from the coils to the distributor.
