x7410 To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} From Hg/Rn.{Mr Robinson} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}4/MJ. 23.12.30. x7960 LOW RATING ROAD SPRINGS. We are sending a pair of 4½ deflection front springs to Cricklewood by road tomorrow. These are suitable for your car and are what we propose to standardise. We think they have a reasonable stress and therefore it will be quite safe for you to use them in any way you think fit. In any case, we shall have confirmatory bumping tests in the course of a week or so. With regard to the rear, we suggest leaving the existing springs on your car as, though they are not what we are recommending for America, we think they are safe for the time being.
