Sir, With reference to your recent visit here and our conversation regarding the very wintry conditions under which you will propose at times to use your Continental Rolls-Royce car, the following notes may be of assistance to you as it would appear that you may be leaving your car only partially protected from the weather in a shed at a high altitude and very low temperature for possibly three days at a time. I think your first effort should be to prevent the engine and its lubricating oil falling to such a low temperature. When I suggested to you the use of one of the radiator bonnet paraffin heaters you objected that they only lasted for say twenty-four hours, but I see that there is advertised by the Speedwell Gear Case Co. Ltd. of 95, Pimlico Rd, London. S. W. 1, a lamp which is described as a Universal Radiator Lamp, burning ordinary paraffin which will go on burning for seven days. The height of this lamp is 8 3/4" over all, and greatest width 5". The price is 8/6d. I am enclosing the advertisement cut from the current issue of the "Motor".
