Dear Mr. DeLooze,

P. V.{VIENNA} C. Halliwell Decd.

I thank you for your letter of the 23rd inst. with the enclosures therein referred to. I will make careful enquiry into the question of the Insurance Policy and the Mortgage on the house at Portishead. I wrote to the Provident Association on the 19th inst. requesting them to give me full particulars concerning the Policy and any property which may be the subject of a Mortgage but I have not yet received a reply.

I am afraid the Burial Certificate will not be accepted by the Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada and the Provident Association as evidence of death. What will be required is production of a death certificate and this will have to be obtained from the Registrar of Births and Deaths for the Furness District, after the enquiry has been completed.

Yours faithfully,
Allan V.{VIENNA} Nutt
