CARBURETTER TESTING PLANT. LIST OF PARTS REQUIRED. FOR PHANTOM ENGINE. (1) Oil cooler similar to one made for Phantom test bed (No.5.) in Expl: Dept: with modified oil pipes to suit cooler. (2) Water pipes from radiator to engine (inlet and outlet overflow). (3) Water pipe from main for engine cooling and oil cooler. (4) Petrol pipe from tank outside to engine. (5) Exhaust pipe and silencer from engine to be taken through roof. (6) Drain to carry away water from engine and oil cooler. FOR SUPERCHARGER CARBS: AND SEPARATORS ETC. (1) Oil tank and pipes for lubricating S/C. bearings etc. (2) Water pipe from main to petrol tank feeding S/C. carburetter so that water may be used instead of petrol, if necessary. (3) Pipes from supercharger to separators. (4) B. & B. Flowmeters - Mark lX. One flowmeter giving the range 32 to 123 pts/hr. on one side and 54 to 210 pts/hr. on the other. Another flowmeter giving range 100 to 250 pts/hr. on each side. (5) 'U' tubes (one). Large twin 'U' tubes as supplied to production Test for use with altitude boxes. | ||
