X 4428-G Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}12/KT, April 20th 1933. Messrs Lodge Plugs Ltd, Rugby. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 13th inst. ref. DAP/EMS. We may say that so far the X.339 plugs have behaved fairly satisfactorily. We have completed about 5000 miles and the burning of the central electrode, which was so manifest when these were made in copper, has been materially reduced. The two points of the plug shell now appear to be the chief cause of increasing in gap, and we should like to know whether you can do anything further to improve the resistance of the plug to burning in this particular feature. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
