20 HP. DYNAMO WITH 28 SLOTS.

We have handed to your Mr. Daykin dynamo No.1143 for trial on your cars. This dynamo is one we received from Mr. Brock as having been returned from the Repair Dept., as a noisy machine, and we have substituted one of the new 28 slot armatures which are now to hand, and are anxious for you to confirm, if the machine will confirm it, that a machine so fitted with a 28 slot armature satisfies your standard of silence.

We are asking Mr. Daykin to let us have a noisy standard 20 HP. dynamo temporarily in place of this one, as we have yet another 28 slot armature which we can put in such a machine for a third confirmation. If these two further tests turn out to satisfy your degree of silence then I think we shall be able to consider that the 28 slot armature is a reasonably definite cure.
