1/10 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler}8/JH. 24th June, 1938. Messrs. Bendix Ltd., Tyseley, BIRMINGHAM. Dear Sirs, We have a Bendix "Press-o-Meter for measuring pedal pressures and calibrated 0 to 200 lbs. Would you kindly let us know if you can supply another and price of same. If available we would prefer one reading 0 to 100 lbs. for clutch pedal work. We find the instrument we have reads very accurately so long as the pressure is applied at or near the centre of the plunger, but if applied near the edge, errors of 5 to 15 lbs. have been observed. May we offer the suggestion that either the foot plate be reduced in diameter, or that a second foot plate be provided and mounted on a spherical joint so as to permit of an angular displacement up to say 15° or 20°? Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
