X8430 BY/HEBE/M.8.3.28. PHANTOM CHASSIS 117-MC. of 416 STEERING COLUMN AND BOX SECTION 7050. SIDE STEERING TUBE - SECTION 7070. FITTING SHORTER PENDULUM LEVER. Herewith please receive one Blue Print of each of the following:- F.78592 Pendulum Lever "D" Type(3.250" long). 1 off. F.78593 Side Steering Tube. 1 " F.78594 Arrgt.of Side Steering Tube. 1 " F.78595 Plug for Front Spring Anchorage. 1 " This gives a Leverage of 14.8. Turns of wheel 2.67. The Steering Geometry is not good but this has been considered by Ha/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Kindly produce one set and fit to the above Chassis. (B.2) It should be noted when fitting these parts that a Shorter Steering Nut and Cage F.78250/1/2 must be fitted. The Side Steering Tube is to have the latest production type ends as shewn on drawing F.76787. The Enots Lubricator on Off Side Front Spring Rear Anchorage must be removed and placed in Tool Kit and Plug F.78595 fitted in Anchorage. BY/HEB.{H.
