SILVER WRAITH.

A Conference was held in the Chassis Conference Room this morning to discover the position of manufacture of the first Silver Wraith experimental chassis 30.G.VII.

The following points were decided, and amplify the specification given in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}1/HH.18.7.38.

Frame.
In conjunction with Leslie, By/HEB.{H. Biraben} will provide as soon as possible an LOP marking which parts are made at R.R. and which by John Thompsons. Leslie would decide whether new front rebound buffer stops would be ready in time.

The frame has to be longer in front because of the bumper bar bracket - on experimental cars the extension will be a separate piece and a decision will have to be made as to whether on production it will be cheaper for the extra long piece to be part of the frame or separate.

Rear Springs.
De/JD.{J. Draper - Frames} to make sure that the 2" shackle is adequate for the 56" rear springs. LOP is urgently required of the rear springs and fittings.

Dashboard.
A detail is required of the dashboard including the necessary slot for the higher steering column. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} has first to supply the external shape of the scuttle.

Spare Wheel Carrier.
Details are required of this from Hy{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}/HEB.{H. Biraben} This is now the same as B.30, which latter has been raised a further 1".

Front Brakes.
The design of these is now complete and details are required.
