Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} W. Hives.

With reference to our previous correspondence in connection with the Variable Reduction Gear, the Inventor will be in London on Wednesday 7th October and we should be very pleased if an appointment could be fixed for that date. As the gentleman in question is frequently away in the country it is very difficult to make appointments for him any length of time ahead, therefore we sincerely hope the date mentioned will be convenient. Should this not be the case perhaps you would be good enough to mention a date when we would endeavour to arrange an interview.

Yours faithfully,

S.H. Morden
