Re 14-EX.(EAC.VII) - Rear Spare Wheel Carrier & Luggage Grid.

To bring this into line with the proposed production type, the channel section Luggage Grid Brackets and tube rails should be replaced by -

F.77396/7-Brackets.(O.S.& N.S.) ) Ordered by
F.77398/9-Tube Rails. ) memo BY/HEB{H. Biraben}9
) M.8.7.27.

assembled as shown on arrangement drawing F.76564.

BY/HEB{H. Biraben} will note the four bolt spare wheel Carrier plate is fitted, secured by F.76975-Upper Bracket and F.75884 Lower Bracket.

When fitting the luggage grid, every effort should be made to obtain a consistent clearance of .075 between the tubes and brackets, when in the closed position. This will minimise as far as possible the risk of rattles on the road.

This clearance on the 40/50HP arrangement drawing F.76587 appears to be only .050.
