Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} /8/R.26.7.37. If Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Wym. {G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} will again read our memo Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /IMW {Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} /5/JAB.15.7.37, to which the above is in answer, he will see that his suggestion to fit a band round the pipe in place of the broken stud was carried out at the time the failure was reported. We referred to it as a "clamp", perhaps this was misleading.
