-2- Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/ML.20.10.31. Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} On riding qualities we are still struggling. We find we can satisfy all customers but not with the same treatment, so we are now using three ranges of springing with different rating springs and shock absorber adjustment to suit. We are rapidly going to the adjustable damper, possibly controlled from the dash. We tried a Packard with this control and we thought it was a step in the right direction. Have Delco's got any further with their adjustable dampers?. Thanks very much for your letter on battery ignition, and letter from Mr. Louden, I attached copy of a letter we have sent to him. We are all very grateful here for the interesting help you gave to the "Miss England" crew. We have had the boat back at the Works. The engines are none-the-worse for the 'ducking', but if we go back again to race at Detroit it will be with a new boat. Kind regards, Yours sincerely, | ||
