on as it reaches the practical stage, so that when we happen to note anything that interests us we can write to him for further information, and if necessary, contact with his representatives in Europe.

The Rotax are at present making the Eclipse electrical starters.

Among other things they are in production with two stage superchargers, they have an automatically variable pitch propellor, which, of course, I saw two years ago but which has now reached the flying stage and will be over in Europe before the end of the year. They have a semi-automatic gear box on which I had a run yesterday. It has done over 50,000 miles on Mr. Marcus's own car.

I am going to spend a further day there to get some technical information on these projects.

I enclose the G.M. pamphlet on knee action, in which you will see both Olley and Briggs are mentioned. The cover is reproduced from fragments in Olley's notebook.

Nutt likes the crank Case design of the water cooled Pacard. Thinks it is simpler than ours & as good. The cyl studs go through to the bearing Caps which are devided on the angle. I will try & get one of these books but believe that they are now out of print
