Oil consumption under light load on the road to check up on H.P. rings. 2. Cylinder bore finish - what do we know about it.? Krauser. Micromatic hone. Block to be ground by Bentley Motors, London. 3. Cylinder bore dimensions. Limit for good oil consumption - this figure is urgently required. 4. Hollow ground rings. 5. Pistons with close clearance round bottom of bore. Being supplied by Brooks. 6. Type of cylinder wear. (a) Split skirt. (b) Aerolite. 7. Write Leylands re cylinder bore wear and upper cylinder lubrication. 8. Machine chamfer on ring grooves in the Works. At the moment this is done by hand. See RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} 9. Cylinder distortion, hot and cold, with cylinder head on and block bolted to the crankcase.
