-4- (5) Maurice Olley. We spoke for a few moments with Maurice Olley, whom we hope is shortly coming to the Works. One interesting point he mentioned was that by inserting rubber in the proper places, it was possible to remove the rigidity in the wishbone system which caused a hard feel, and make it the equal of a Du-bonnet in this respect without running into some of the disadvantages inherent with this latter scheme. Olley also stated that he had found he could make satisfactory motor-cars with much less frame stiffness from the dashboard backwards than at one time he had considered necessary. There is no doubt that the softening down of the wishbone anchorage contributes to these results. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
