Decision to fit a new Park Ward body and overdrive gearbox to chassis 6.B.IV.

Since we do not wish to send 6.B.IV. out to France until after Christmas, we see no reason why advantage should not be taken of this fact to fit the new Park Ward body to this chassis. We have done sufficient rig tests on the gearbox to be able to say that the overdrive box as fitted to 6.B.IV. is unlikely to fail in France, and, therefore if it is considered to be desirable for production, there would not be a great deal of risk in putting the necessary parts in hand before the completion of tests in France.
