The dampers have not yet been removed to check the exact initial poundage, but the downward pull on the rear dampers, measured with them in position, is now approximately 18 lbs.

We hope to arrange for Sr. to try the car and to make comparisons with the Paris Trial's car, and in the mean-while shall be running the car over as wide a range of road surfaces as can be found, to further test the suspension.

The worst and most noticeable feature of the car is the excessive frame movements on bad roads which have been referred to on several occasions and which is associated with the absence of frame-ties from this chassis, and the flexible engine mounting. The steering is good for joggles, and the shocks which are felt in the wheel are always accompanied by the frame tremors.

The car has run a further 424 miles since the report of the 13th Oct. The petrol consumption for this distance was 12.8 m.p.g. and the oil consumption 1.700 m.p.g.
