COPY. PADDON BROS., LIMITED. 1, Albemarle Street, PICCADILLY, W.1. Ref: PB/DP. 10th. July, 1924. Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., 14, Conduit Street, W.1. Dear Sirs, A Client of ours, Mr. Runge, is contemplating the purchase of a second 20-HP. Rolls-Royce, but complains bitterly of his present Rolls boiling; he admits that this occurs under unfavourable conditions - i.e. this time of year in Switzerland or the South of France with a Sun temperature of about 130°, and when the Car is going over Passes 4-5000 ft. high. Can you suggest any remedy for this: possibly a lower geared fan would do the trick? Please let us hear from you as soon as you can with regard to the above, as this may make all the difference in obtaining this Gentleman's order. Yours faithfully. p.p. PADDON BROS., LTD. (Sd) P.
