Dear Sirs, We beg to confirm the points discussed between Mr.Royce, Mr.Fowler Clark and the undersigned, at the interview which you were good enough to accord to me on the 26th instant. 1) Modification of Handle Slot. It is recorded that we agree to the modification suggested in your letter reference "EFC3/AD" of 27.1.30, but that no change is to be made until further notice. 2) Modification of Insert in Container. It is recorded that in view of the practical objections to the suggestion put forward by Messrs.Peto & Radford you have decided not to go further in the matter. As explained at the interview, should you desire a change, our recommendation would be to sink the nut about 3/16" in the ebonite. 3) Gland in Cover. It was arranged that we await a drawing which you have applied for from Messrs.Peto & Radford, and we will then submit any criticisms or proposals for your consideration. 4) Burnt-up Connections. The principle of burnt-up connections is understood between us to have a definite advantage, but is lessened in the case of the 2-unit battery by the fact that it is necessary to have four screwed terminals. It was understood that you would probably order a special battery with burnt-up connections for experiment. | ||
