Re. 25 HP. Chassis.
Spitting in the Exhaust on Retard.

Replying to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}2/EC.26.8.33.

We do not consider there is any possible chance of providing a cure to overcome this complaint with our standard carburetter. The improvements which have been made on the Continental Phantom and the Bentley are due entirely to the use of a different type carburetter.

We can demonstrate that by fitting an S.U. carburetter on to the standard 25 HP. this trouble can be overcome, also there is a definite increase in performance.

The 25 HP. car which Lp.{Mr Lappin} has been running, ran for about six months with a standard S.U. carburetter and gave very good results.

We have not pushed for an improved carburetter on the 25 HP. because we are expecting that this car will be replaced sometime next year.
