In view of the fact that under certain conditions occasional doping of the 20 HP Clutch Plate with paraffin and oil is recommended, we feel very strongly that 3 or 4 radial holes should be provided in the flywheel in the plane of the clutch plate, as is done on the 'Phantom'. This would not only greatly facilitate the applying of the dope, which at present is a very awkward and difficult operation, but it would also permit of the ready escape of the dope or oil after the surfaces have been dressed. Do you see any objection to providing these holes as on the 'Phantom' ? Holes inclined so as to carry them opposite inspection door Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler} WOC | ||
