I asked Ely. to have a word with Mr.Hall as he sees him frequently, and he this afternoon called in the Showroom.

We only just learn that he did not take delivery of this car, although we had made arrangements for him to take it a week or so ago.

He now says that he would like to come up to Derby on Thursday next if it is convenient to you, to discuss your proposition.
He says he would rather make it some other day, if you are likely to be busy on that day as he thinks the matter requires quite a bit of discussion.

It just occurs to me to wonder whether he has any right to refuse your proposal.
I do not quite know what the arrangement was, but it may be that he bought the standard chassis from us, and you put these experimental pieces on for a certain purpose; and this purpose having been achieved, you now have the right put on the standard parts.

As mentioned, I do not know the position, but this may be a suggestion to put to him if he seems at all sticky.

C.
