X. 4079. RR 238 (300 Bks.) (SF 152. 6-11-18.) MP 197880 ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To: E.F.C. Order No: P.B.94 Customer's No. X 4079 Test of Faulty Coil LG2 This coil was returned to us on the 14-5-23 as having broken down. When tried on our spark gaps it was found that the maximum gap on which it would spark regularly at 9.0 volts, was 4.5 mm. It was then tried for continuity, and shortcircuited turns of the windings, when the milliamps taken by the secondary on the latter test were 16.2 From this the fault appears to be in a portion of one of the windings being shortcircuited, most likely the secondary winding. Coil not examined or repaired 24. 5. 23. Signed: C.A.P. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
