We have sent you the following telegram:
REAR AXLE OFF SIDE TUBE BROKEN AT FLANGE CLOSE TO DIFF BOX
We found that the axle had broken this morning when we started to fit the steel brake shoes. The broken flange has been sent to you by post. In our opinion the tube section is too weak. We have received Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2KT/5/8/33 you will have received a report of the failure of our pump due to heat. We shall be pleased to fit the electrical pumps and will endeavour to find the most suitable place.

We are enclosing charts of Water and Oil temp. taken every 25 miles.
