Sgd. FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E1/M23.1.32. X4484 Referring to your memo, SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}29/EWSg132.., please find attached the treatise in question. We are interested to note that the author expresses views which coincide with the last para. of E2/AL6132. Independent springing would allow the whole of the body to be dropped about five inches with the system of transmission proposed, without using a tunnel, and would also remove some of the limitations on weight distribution. Of course there would be some difficulties and disadvantages, but it might be profitable when time allows to make a rough scheme of such a chassis. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
