Type of Failure. 1st Failure :- Slight picking up of bearing metal on sleeve. 2nd Failure :- Very bad cracking of the bearing metal, this cracking, however, can hardly be accepted as being a true result owing to the fact that on stripping the Bearin Rig it was found that the front roller bearing had failed thereby causing undue 'chatter' on the bearing under test. Total running time up to 1st failure ..... 36 hours 20 minutes. Total running time between 1st and 2nd failure 16 hours 33 minutes. Making a Total running time of ....... 52 hours 53 minutes.
