X3922 Extract from R12/G23.8.20. X.3763. RE FITTERS' WORK ON 6.EX COMPARED WITH 1.EX. X.3923. X.3922. X.3444. In connection with the petrol system, I noticed that on PN{Mr Northey}'s car the hand air pump was particularly hard to work. The same thing occurred on 6.EX, but it was found that the priming cock was not absolutely over in the running position. It is possible with other cars the passage for the air is not sufficiently free, owing to some defect in piping or cocks. The result is that in PN{Mr Northey}'s car it is quite tiring to pump up the pressure in the tank, if the tank is low in petrol. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
