EAC. AND 20HP. ENGINES - X8000 (handwritten, crossed out)
OIL LEAK - REAR END. X8780 X5980 (handwritten)

Referring to the oil leak on the rear
fitting of the high pressure oil gallery pipe which we
endeavoured to cure on production by making the rear portion
a better fit in the crankcase, we send herewith LeC. 2128.,
shewing means for curing the trouble by attaching a cover.
This cover makes a joint to the crankcase by means of a
cork washer.

We also shew a scheme for attaching a cover to
the crankcase by means of 3 countersunk screws, but this
necessitates an alteration to the pattern, and should not
be carried out unless found necessary.
