x208. To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}11/HP.24.5.33. c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} re Bentley Air Silencer. We send you herewith: LeC.3500 showing the larger air silencer, and the bigger and longer air intake manifold. The drawing shows a baffle inside the rocker cover for the breather connection. We should like Experimental Department to get one made and tried at once, to prove its effectiveness. The internals of the air silencer are Phantom pieces, and since we have increased the diameter of the central tube larger than the first Bentley part, we have compensated for this by making the outer shell longer than originally.
