(c) Head lamp and wing movement.
There is no doubt that a second dropped cross member between the lamp pillars reduces this trouble by 50%. As it does not appear to be a very difficult job to get such a cross member in we think it is worth while doing as soon as ever possible.

(d) We have already mentioned staying the Bentley exhaust system to the gearbox to prevent the front expansion box touching the frame as this causes booms. In addition we think that the link scheme of silencer mounting is required with the increased engine movement.

In addition to these immediate moves there are :-

(2) (a) The scheme for moving the engine forward, single point mounting of the wings and radiator and stiffening up the front of the frame. We are most enthusiastic about this.

(b) Front axle control. We think that it is well worth persevering to get a satisfactory scheme for this.

(c) Simplified petrol system with reserve tap by the driver's seat.

Experimentally we are busy with a number of developments, in particular these are :-

(1) Weight saving which includes lighter radiator, magnesium castings, Peregrine gearbox and steering, lighter flywheel, etc.

(2) Increased engine smoothness and raising the master period by attention to the crankshaft and flywheel.

(3) Improved brakes, in particular finding a lining that will work efficiently when wet.
