R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 159, 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2800 TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M20.8.25. [STAMP: RECEIVED AUG 11 1925 ASST. WKS. MGR. H.S.] [STAMP: ORIGINAL] SERVO ON 20.HP. X5370 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG18825., Referring to your report on 9.G.111., when Mr. Royce returned from his holiday he suggested as a result of his experience that it might be desirable to reduce the power of the servo still more. Experimentally this could be done by altering the angle of the present large diameter cam from 45º to say 50º or even 55º, and the effect on the braking, and particularly on the servo, [handwritten: jaggers] tested. As soon as we get an opportunity we shall send you a cam which by an increase of diameter will enable 45º to be used with the reduced braking. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} [Signature] | ||
