Front Expansion Chamber to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1585.

Attached is curve B.V.75 on which are compared a standard front expansion chamber and one to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1585. It will be seen that the standard system is slightly better than Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1585 at the high speeds, the increase amounting to approx. 3 HP. at 4500 r.p.m. and 1.2 H.P. at 4,000 r.p.m.

The back pressure is also higher with the Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1585 expansion chamber. Due presumably to the difference in capacity, there is a slight increase in low speed M.E.P.
