With further reference to Lp{Mr Lappin}'s note saying how pleased he is with his Phantom II, when he had lunch with me yesterday, he became very enthusiastic about his Phantom II - in fact he could not speak highly enough of it.

He pointed out that he does not spare the car, i.e. drives very fast and very hard and that he has usually been able to break up most cars in about 5,000 miles.

He has had his Phantom II over on the French roads and he says that there is nothing on the road to-day in the way of sports cars or anything else which can pass it.

He said that, if we wanted a testimonial, he would be pleased to give us one and, as I said that we could always make good use of them, he said that, if we cared to write it ourselves, he would be pleased to sign it.

Would you please draft one for me to see for this purpose?
