To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from EFC. c. BY/NHW. X8782 EFC2/T18.12.28 INSTRUCTION BOOK - TUNGSTEN POINTS. X2894 We recommend that for the purpose of touching up the tungsten points when necessary, we should include in the kit a small piece of flat carborundum, and a note to this effect included in the Instruction Book. It should, however, be made clear that normally, i.e. when points are kept free from oil and petrol, no touching up should be required over a long period of running. In fact, we might almost say that no touching up should be required, but that the points should be eventually replaced. To cover, however, the cases where the bedding may for some reason or other not be going quite correctly, it should be recommended that the carborundum be used to correct the condition of the points.
