We would acknowledge receipt of your communication of the 3rd instant, calling for a further fourteen pistons with raised crown, but with a variation in dimension as compared with those previously supplied. Our Works will be re-opening on Monday after annual holiday, when we will take an immediate opportunity to look into the question of the necessary modifications to the foundry equipment, and will write you further thereafter on the subject of delivery. We would also request your indulgence for a few days in respect to the question of the writer's visit to you, as we shall be able to determine more definitely when the Works have re-opened, what would be a suitable date.
