(7) Maintenance of Oil Pressure.
It should be ascertained that this is not affected by braking or cornering. If trouble occurs, baffles should be arranged to prevent this.

(8) Freedom from Oil Leaks.
An examination should be made of this.

(9) Accessibility.
Plugs, easy withdrawal of connecting rods, and removal of bottom half, examination of slipper wheel, dismantling of clutch, etc., should all receive consideration.

(10) Plug & Exhaust Valve Cooling.
Careful tests should be made to see that there are no signs of pre-ignition.

(11) Cylinder Bore Distortion.
Actual measurements should be made with a fitting gauge to see whether the bores distort after the cylinder block is bolted down on the crankcase and the head is bolted down on the block.

(12) Flywheel Flutter.
Examination should be made to see that there is no excessive flutter at any particular speed.

(13) Detonation - minimum fuel octane number.
Road tests should be made to see the minimum octane fuel number which the engine requires when clean to be free from detonation.

(14) Oil Consumption.
A reasonable figure for the oil consumption is .006 pts/B.H.P./hour.
