X8712 EFC2/AD. 30th December, 1930. Dr. Turner, The Lucas Electrical Co.Ltd. Well St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Birmingham. Dear Sir, Production Tests of Ignition Coils. We should be pleased to have your opinion as to whether in the production testing of car battery ignition coils, you consider it necessary to test these with test spark gaps under pressure or whether ordinary spark gaps working under atmospheric pressure are considered a sufficiently suitable substitute. We should also like to know if you consider it necessary artificially to heat the coils to a specified temperature for the purpose of the production test. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
