With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG1.7.24, we should like to have an opportunity of giving the E.A.C.II car a good trial. CJ., I, and other officials here would like to obtain practical experience in running it as long a distance as possible. Therefore we should like to have the car here at least until Wednesday, or for you to bring it back to London immediately after showing it to Mr. Royce at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town.

We understand that you will deliver it straight to Gerrards Cross, and that it will not come into London at all, in order to prevent the car being seem or heard of in London, as it is daily becoming more and more necessary to keep this car absolutely secret.

There should be a Works man in charge of the car whilst it is at Gerrards Cross, as mentioned in my previous memo.
