BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 7090 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M9. 2. 29. S.S. REAR BRAKE CAMSHAFTS+ X. 7090 X. 7360 Herewith we send N.sch.2821 shewing the chauffeurs adjustment ends of the camshafts adopted to the EAC.14 scheme. It will be seen that we ask for an alteration to the pressing carrying the camshafts off the axle. We appreciate that it may not be possible for you to adapt the EAC.14 scheme to the SS.{S. Smith} back axle at first as possibly you have pieces already made or in process of being made. If this is so we suggest that we should adapt the EAC.7. brake carrier to give the proposed mud shields, and this we have done on N.sch.2822 herewith. All we ask for here are modifications to the camshaft bearing brackets which we think should be possible. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
