3-S-I - Test In France.

The following are our remarks in reply to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}7/E.3.9.35.

We discussed with G.W.H. the remark in his report as regards the behaviour of the car over a bump. The result of the discussion was that the SpectreCodename for Phantom III as the first cars will be arranged will be slightly but not much worse than at present for this particular fault. It is all a question of compromise. We have no prospect of a complete cure.

The failures which have occurred on the car in France received attention immediately. Everything is being done to ensure that the Demonstration cars shall be the best possible.

As regards the next car for France, we shall have this running on the road next week. The car has been delayed in order to get the maximum possible number of new parts on it.
