Confirming our conversation of yesterday, it was agreed that it was very desirable that EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} should be as free as possible from office duties, as it is so extremely important that he should be able to give his whole attention to superintending personally the testing of chassis before they are delivered to Sales; also that all particulars sent to Depots should go through one source in order to avoid the possibility of overlapping or confusion.

Therefore, in future:

1. All instructions to Depots concerning keeping cars in good order or giving them attention will be sent by Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}

Any official having suggestions will send these to Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}, who will draft Depot instructions and submit them to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}, BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} and, immediately they are approved, will issue them, somewhat on the same system as before, namely, giving each instruction a Number and a Heading.

2. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} will arrange for EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} to be supplied with all information concerning new car complaints.

EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} will obtain this information by calling at the New Car Complaint Department and will make such examination or tests of such cars as he may consider desirable, and then will assist or advise as far as possible, but he will not see or communicate with customers.

He will have full access to all information and correspondence concerning such cars.
