c. Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager}

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.2/MH.{M. Huckerby}27.9.38.

We note that there have been numerous cases
recently of thermostats on Ph.III and 25/30 H.P. cars being
returned to the makers as being faulty.

One particular case brought to our notice is that
mentioned in Owner's Complaint Report N.1403

Will you please arrange that until further notice
all calorstats that prove defective in service are returned
for Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std's examination prior to their being returned to the
makers for rectifying. This procedure has already been
requested for thermometers and should apply to all thermostats
and calorstats.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.
